Today, 17 Cheshvan, is the day that the (Noah's) flood started. It lasted for 40 days. 27th of Kislev will mark the end of those 40 days. This year that will fall on the 28th of December.
Archaeology confirms the story of the flood. In fact, three
major artifacts mention the great flood, Gilgamesh Epic Tablet number 11 (the Mesopotamian version), the Babylonian Flood Tablet (Found in Megiddo, circa 15th Century BCE), and another Babylonian Ark Tablet dating back 1,700 years BCE).

Also, a heads-up that the current website (israelarchaeologicalproof.com) will soon be replaced by an awesome new and integrated website. So watch this space...we will let you know when it's up.
A week ago we officially started to pray for rain here in Israel. Rain ("Geshem") has the same root as "Gashmiut" or materialization. After all the prayers during Tishrei, taking account of our
lives before G-d and discussing with Him what we need for the new year (5785), we are starting to see that materialization as the rain starts to fall. Interestingly enough, we had our first few drops of rain on the 7th of Cheshvan when we officially started praying for rain. The serious rain clouds finally arrived today, on the 17th of Cheshvan, the beginning of the flood.
We already see that the elections in the US caused a massive (red) wave. It had strong redemptive lines, that of vindication as well as showing that people choose a moral code/compass over woke propaganda. The Trump victory also shows strong support for Israel. Things look good on the surface, but there are deeper dynamics we need to take into account - but that is a discussion for another day.
Most importantly, our eyes and hope should remain on G-d, not man. That is how you build your ark for what still promises to be a stormy year ahead. If your trust is in the right place, and your ark is built, you will be carried by the flood waters. That is where the dynamic changes:
That which is supposed to kill you will carry you.
The same dynamic is seen in the basket that carried Moshe (Moses). It is no coincidence, that the same word "Teiva" (תבה) is used for both Noah's ark and Moses' basket. The word for nature is "Teva" (טֶבַע), phonetically close to Teiva (ark or basket). Though judgments come in natural forms (floods, earthquakes, etc), when you put your spiritual trust in the Master of Creation, the Teiva lifts you above nature, carrying you over the flood.
As always, remember that the dates of significant historic events in the Bible, still remain auspicious times in modern times. Let's see what the next 40 days will bring.
Isaiah 54:9-17
9 For this is as the waters of Noah unto Me; for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth, so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee. 10 For the mountains may depart, and the hills be removed; but My kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall My covenant of peace be removed, saith the L-RD that hath compassion on thee. 11 O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will set thy stones in fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires. 12 And I will make thy pinnacles of rubies, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy border of precious stones. 13 And all thy children shall be taught of the L-RD; and great shall be the peace of thy children. 14 In righteousness shalt thou be established; be thou far from oppression, for thou shalt not fear, and from ruin, for it shall not come near thee. 15 Behold, they may gather together, but not by Me; whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall because of thee. 16 Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the fire of coals, and bringeth forth a weapon for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. 17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the L-RD, and their due reward from Me, saith the L-RD.
